Stripes!

Graham and I got dressed first, and I realized we were both wearing stripes, so I went searching for a striped shirt in Jackson's closet.  I was pleased to find one that matched mine, just with thinner stripes!  I never thought I'd get to match my kids since they are boys, so this was kind of fun :)

Go Griffins Go!

"Grandpa's Little Man"
Graham has outgrown another Grandpa outfit :( He has had more to wear than I thought in the beginning. I had such a hard time finding ONE outfit for Jackson in the beginning, but slowly more and more have come into the stores :)
We had a little photo shoot with a Griffins pennant we "borrowed" from Mimi and Bampa's ;)
I took the picture below of Jackson right before my dad was being recognized for working at Roycemore for FORTY years!

Just for comparison, Graham is on the left just shy of eight months old.  Jackson is on the right at 5 1/2 months.  Makes me thankful for the date stamp on our camera...

Feeling Spiffy on a Beautiful Day!

Yesterday we totally stayed home and I spent the morning cleaning.  When it was time to get dressed, Jackson chose this button down shirt!  I love that that's what he chose on this stay-at-home-usually-in-our-jammies-day!  Of course I dressed Graham in one of my favorite little shirts--a button down checked shirt with a little red bug on the pocket!
 SMOOCH!
 Mr. GJS
 Mr. JAS
Once I was finished cleaning, and naps/quiet time were had, we took a walk to enjoy the BEAUTIFUL weather!  Graham sat in the stroller like a big boy for the first time--he LOVED it!
 Holding hands
Our troop (you can see the top of Graham's head in the stroller)
We came home and Jackson asked to shoot some baskets.  Sure!
 He had some great shots!
It was such a nice breath of fresh air to get some nice weather in the middle of our coldest days :)

Yes, This DID Happen!

Jackson really never transferred from the car to his bed.  So, if he fell asleep in the car, I had to either leave him in the car to finish resting, or just accept that he had had that little nap.  I guess I just assumed Graham would be the same way.  But, when he fell asleep on the way home from the grocery store, I went ahead and tried putting him to bed.  It totally worked!  He woke up briefly, looked at me, and happily snuggled into his crib :)  I decided to not push my luck and just left his hat on ;)

Rub a Dub Dub, Happy Graham in the Tub

This face makes me want to just let him have a bath all day long!  Seriously, there hasn't been a mood yet that a bath couldn't turn around for Graham :)  I ordered him this awesome bath seat, and I really don't worry about him in the tub, especially when he takes a bath with Jackson, which is most nights. It's called the Dream Baby Bath Seat, and we all are in love!  I can't believe I didn't have one for Jackson!  It definitely suctions well to the bottom of our tub, and Graham happily splashes and reaches for toys.
Two bugs in a tub :)
 CHEESE!
And, here is proof that Graham is happy to bathe wherever we are!  He was plenty happy in Mimi and Bampa's fancy pink, square tub :)
He sure does love sucking on the washcloths!

Both Graham and Jackson hated their baths right away, but now LOVE them!  Funny to think back that far...

Graham's Corner

When Jackson was a baby, I said that my favorite trick babies learned was how to sit up on their own.  Crawling and walking are fine, but when they can sit  up and entertain themselves is really wonderful!  Graham is such a good little sitter :)  He is SO happy playing in his little corner with his obscene number of toys!
Check out those cute toes peeking out!
And, then there's the toy bag to play with ;)
Graham loves sitting in his spot because he can see most of what's going on.  We didn't have carpeting on the main levels of our old house for Jackson, so this feels like such a luxury!
I LOVE these silly boys!
There's a lot of blue going on--good thing it's my favorite color :)

We Heart Chick-fil-a!

I must admit we have been spending more and more time at Chick-fil-a...  It really is a great place to meet friends for lunch and then playtime.  We really don't eat out very often, especially for lunch, but Chick-fil-a has the whole package: yummy food, pleasant atmosphere, super friendly staff, and kid entertainment.  When we do meet friends for lunch, it is not unusual for us to spend at least two hours hanging out.  That is totally worth it to me!  Springfield got a brand new Chick-fil-a...after we moved to Dumfries!  LOL  The only problem is it does NOT have a play space!  WHAT?!  That was a sad surprise the first time we went :(  Luckily, there were some real live firefighters eating lunch next to us at the beginning of the year, and they let Jackson and Rachel climb on the truck!!!  How fun is that???  Too bad they can't just park in the parking lot all the time as a substitute for the play area...
This fireman was SO nice!  First he lifted up Jackson and Rachel so they could sit in the back of the truck.  They thought that was great, and they weren't sure how seriously to take him when he offered to let them sit in the driver's seat!
After a little encouragement, they tried that out too!
Cute little firefighters :)

Brother Snuggles and Snacktime

I NEVER imagined how happy these two would make my heart!!!
The brotherly love has been there the whole time, but I love the fact that Jackson wants to know where Graham is each morning when he wakes up so he can go see him.  Graham also breaks out into the biggest smile when he sees his silly brother!
Plenty of smooches!
Such a chunk!
Football!  My love!
This kid loves to eat!  He has scarfed down all baby food purees, and he is starting to discover baby crackers and puffs.
Jackson was super excited to help feed Graham puffs!  His exact words were, "I've been dreaming about this!"  Awww....
More!
YUM!

Graham Shows Off His Thighs

Jackson and Graham are really starting to play together more, and it is so cute to watch!
Santa brought Graham this LeapFrog play house, and Jackson likes to show him what all of the buttons do :)
These thighs are growing every day!  We are enjoying this characteristic since Jackson was built so differently!
 Happy baby :)
Just being cute!

Chick-fil-a Breakfast Reservations!

Graham clearly loves sitting up in a high chair!  LOL
In January, Chick-fil-a is offering free breakfast on Wednesday mornings!  You make an online reservation and then go enjoy a delicious start to the day :)  Rachel, Aimee, Levi, Hallie, Mary, Graham and I met there for a little breakfast date before Hallie welcomes Baby Girl #3 into the world next week!!!  We had SUCH a good time!  Mary loves Graham!  She is always excited to greet him and always wants to hold him :)
Graham tasted puffs for the first time!  He wasn't too sure, so after he was finished, we shared with Levi!

It was so nice to spend the morning with good friends and catch up after the holiday craziness!
