Of course, we immediately got to work decorating the house for Christmas! We got home from the airport the other day with just enough time for Josh to put up the lights outside! He and I also continued our tradition of setting up the trees and stringing lights on them after the boys have gone to bed while we listen to Christmas songs :)
Jackson was a super helper and was excited to help me put up ornaments after school. He did a really great job--I'm a little (ahem) OCD about decorating, but decorating WITH him is something I really look forward to :)
Checking out the garland on the stairs
This would be Graham's new picture-taking pose. So awesome with Christmas right around the corner and Mommy wanting nice pictures... ;)
We got some TERRIBLE weather and were house-bound for most of the weekend as well as two snow days! First on the list: FUDGE! Grandpa Ronnie's recipe of course!
Second on the list, Choc-Oat Chip Cookies! Jackson and I took a little adventure two houses down later to deliver a plate to our new neighbors :) Josh and I also started a love affair with homemade eggnog thanks to Alton Brown's amazing recipe. Seriously, even if you don't think you like egg nog, you should try this--way better and different than store bought!
Playing while wearing his apron :)
Check out this snow monkey!
Daddy going out to do a little shoveling
On Monday, I took Jackson to see "Frozen!" Josh tele-working and the snow day made the logistics for this outing much easier :)
We both LOVED it!
I made stockings for us all this year! Nothing too special--just some pinking shears and the glue gun :)
There's that crazy pose again!
We attempted to go see Santa at the mall today, but that just didn't work. The mall was pretty much crazy town with yet another snow day. We did accomplish shopping for an angel off of the angel tree--that was more time sensitive! And, we continued with our plan to have Qdoba for dinner. It just didn't work to see Santa since his hour long break started as soon as we got there at 4:30. 5:30 was just going to be pushing our luck with Mr. Graham. There are plenty more days to visit...
