Graham Turns FOUR!!!

Our sweet, "Baby Graham" turned FOUR today!!! He's our own personal ham all day, every day! He charms everyone he meets, is the quintessential little brother, ends everyday with snuggles, loves stories, eats his weight in snacks, rocked his first year of preschool, and gets such joy out of making other people laugh. We had a really fun day celebrating him today and can't wait for him to enjoy his Paw Patrol birthday party next weekend!!!

Josh had an opportunity he really couldn't pass up for a really fun paddling trip, so I encouraged him to go, even though it was on Graham's birthday.  We had plenty of fun things to keep us busy!  We had an errand at Target first thing:
After playing, we had lunch and an early nap, so we could get to Jackson's soccer game!
After nap, after soccer it was time to open some presents and cards!
New "Blaze" trucks!

Birthday cards!

We invited Bree, Alyssa and Alaina to meet us at Five Guys for birthday hamburgers and ice cream at Sweet Frog!  They said yes, so that made for a really fun end to the day!
Graham even got to open his present from them, which included this cool "Paw Patrol" water blasting backpack!!!

The kids were just being funny, but this turned into quite the photo shoot...!

I hope Graham enjoyed his day--I know he's looking forward to his "Paw Patrol" party...!!!

My Birthday and Cinqo de Mayo

Josh bought an inflatable kayak to try out while deciding how much kayaking he'd really do.  Luckily, he realized he would do a good amount of kayaking if he had his own before this one got a hole :(  It was not patchable, so...
We bought a kayak while on my birthday date with Mom and Dad who arrived in town earlier in the day!!!
Josh did a lot of research and found a great option to allow him to secure the kayak to the top of the Prius.  We love our ATP (All Terrain Prius)!
After that adventurous outing, we had a delicious dinner at Coastal Flats followed by adult milkshakes at Ted's Bulletin.  Such a fun day with my favorite people :)
Yesterday was a tad complicated...  I dropped Mimi off at Pattie to have lunch with Jackson, and right after picking her up from that, I headed over to preschool for Graham's Mother's Day Tea!
The classes sang some adorable songs, and Graham just looked SO happy to be up there performing for me!
 Our Tea Time!
There was a scramble at our table for the carrots, celery and dip!  LOL
THEN, we picked up Mimi and went to Chick fil a for lunch :)
To round out a really fun day, we decided to brave El Paso for dinner!  We knew it would be crazy, so we sent Mimi and Bampa ahead to put our name on the list and have a drink.  Surprisingly, the wait didn't end up being that long and Josh and I went over with the boys and we had a really fun and delicious dinner!
Graham had just earned this new train, and it kept him busy during all of dinner!

Graham's Trucks-in-the-Community Party!

This sweet boy STILL just loves his trucks!  So, even though we did a racecar themed party last year, we needed more things with wheels again this year!  The "cake" was pretty simple, but he loved it!
My main plan for party activities was to make different trucks out of boxes for the kids to wear and play with in the yard.  We had a school bus...
 ...a mail truck,
 (back of mail truck)
 ...a garbage truck,
...a fire truck (Smith Family Fire Department),
 ...and, a UPS truck!
Stop light goody bags all lined up!
There were bubbles wrapped in caution tape, glo bracelets, and a toy truck inside
 Make your own license plate
 A little humor...
Snacks just about ready to go!
Centerpieces were easy!  Vases and pitchers filled with cars and topped off with a racing flag!
 Delivering mail
Hallie driving the bus and Abby writing some mail
 Truck races!
Garbage loaded into the garbage truck!
Getting ready to sing to the big THREE year old!
 "Happy birthday, dear Graham!"Blowing out
 Blowing out his candles!
The Smith family :)
